About me

From a young age, I remember always wanting to help my mother cook and would stand next to her and ask questions.  I observed her working her magic in our Brooklyn kitchen – she would prepare feasts on a budget and made it all seem so simple.  My passion for cooking grew over the years and I’ve tested and tried replicating my mothers recipes.  I also took various cooking classes, but nothing compares to lessons learned from my mothers kitchen.  I decided to document her recipes and carfeully so.  I have 10 versions of her Maltese Rabbit Stew!  When we ask how much of this ingredient, she replies, “a small handful” or how long do you keep that in the oven, her answer is often, “until it is done”.  I will forever cherish the memories from my mother's kitchen.
